Observation, storage, exchange and processing of meteorological data .
Weather forecasting.
Climatology and applied meteorology .
Geophysics and astronomy
This domain has been added to the NIM activities essentially
for national purposes .
It covers the activities related to :
Measurement and watch of seismic activity and applied
geophysical studies.
Observation of the lunar crescent and preparation of
the lunar calendar for religious purposes.
Setting lunar and solar eclipse dates and drawing up
ephemeris.
Measurement and processing of different types of solar
radiation.
