NIM has six regional subdivisions (Tunis, Jendouba, Sousse,
Sfax, Tozeur, and Medenine).
Functions :
Subdivisions which represent NIM at regional level :
to implement the directives of central administration

to provide the necesssary meteorological assistance to
air and marine navigation .
to take part in the studies of meteorological factors
and their impacts on the regional economic development
.
to manage the activities of the meteorological stations
of the branch.
NIM also has an observation network
classified by station types :
Synoptic network : 26 stations.
Agro-meteorological network : 31 stations.
Climatologic network : 58 stations.
Rainfall network : 208 stations.
Radar network : 1 Radar.
Seismologic network : 15 stations.
Measurement of bottom pollution network : 1 station.
Marine station network : 7 stations.
