Annular eclipse on June 10, 2021.

An annular eclipse of the Sun occurs on Thursday 10 June, 2021 UT. The Sun will be 94% covered in a moderate annular eclipse, lasting 3 minutes and 51 seconds and covering a very broad path, 527 km wide at maximum. It will be visible in northern Canada, the arctic, and far north-eastern Russia. The partial eclipse will be visible from Canada, most of Europe, and much of Asia.

During this eclipse the Sun will be 0.525° in apparent diameter, 1.5% smaller than average. The Moon will be just 2 days past apogee, making it very small. At maximum eclipse it will be 0.495° in apparent diameter, which is 6.7% smaller than average; this is not large enough to cover the Sun, which is why this is an annular eclipse.
