REGIONAL STRUCTURES
The NIM is represented at the regional level by six subdivisions (Tunis, Jendouba, Sousse, Sfax, Tozeur and Medenine).
Assignment of a subdivision
The subdivision represents the NIM at the regional level. For this purpose it is required to:
- Provide the meteorological assistance necessary for the safety of air and sea navigation at the regional level.
- Implement the guidelines of the General Management of the National Institute of Meteorology.
- Participate in weather-related studies of factors that can contribute to regional economic development.
- Manage the activities of the meteorological stations affiliated to the subdivision.
