    The month of March 2023 was marked by stable weather conditions. The general average temperature (27 main stations) was 16.3°C and it was higher than the reference average (1991-2020), with a deviation of +1.7°C. This difference ranks this month as the 2nd hottest month of March since 1950.

     Tunisia, which was already under water stress, suffered during this month from a significant rainfall deficit which aggravated the situation. The deficit which exceeded 80% ranks this month as the 2nd driest month of March since 1970.
