MONTHLY CLIMATOLOGICAL REPORT AUGUST 2020 IN TUNISIA

Average maximum temperature during August 2020

   The month August 2020 was marked by a noticeable rise in temperature, and our country witnessed the emergence of three heat waves, also the average temperature exceeded the reference average by a difference of 1.14 degrees.

   New record for maximum temperature was recorded in Kasserine, reaching 43°C on August 20, 2020. August has been ranked the 7 th hottest August since 1970.

  With regard to rain, the decrease in the total monthly rainfall amount was 50%.
