The temporal and spatial evolution of air pollutants in Tunisia for May 2022:

The monthly means of environmental pollutants at ground level, collected daily from the Sentinel-5P satellite from 00h and 12h UT, showed an increase in Sulfur dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) of 9% and 30% respectively at night and 14% and 4% respectively for Sulfur dioxide (SO2) and Ozone (O3) at day for May by comparing them with the previous month. A slight decrease characterizes the Ozone (O3) and Carbon monoxide (CO) at night by 4% and 1% respectively and Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and Carbon monoxide (CO) with 2% and 4% respectively at day for May compared to the previous month. The pollutants concentration being mainly linked to many environmental and meteorological factors where the general atmospheric circulation affects directly this concentration.
